Amcrest's NV4108E-A2 4K 8CH POE NVR is designed to support hard drives up to 10TB. It features 8CH recording, the latest H.265 video compression, 8-port PoE, and playback capabilities across 8 channels at 1080p(30fps), 4 channels at 4MP(30fps), or 2 channels at 4K(30fps).

Included in the package are 4 x 5MP IP PoE outdoor vandal dome cameras with a resolution of 2592x1944 and a frame rate of 20fps. These cameras are equipped with IK10 vandal-resistant domes and offer a super-wide 103° viewing angle, allowing for comprehensive coverage. The cameras require Power over Ethernet (PoE) for installation, with a PoE injector or switch (sold separately) being necessary to provide power.

These cameras also possess the ability to manually pan/tilt, making it easier to adjust the field of view. Additionally, the cameras utilize a 1/2.7" image sensor, which, combined with the 5MP resolution, delivers stunning low-light performance.

The advanced H.265 compression technology employed by the NVR significantly reduces storage space requirements, allowing for longer recording times. Despite the compression, the UltraHD video quality remains uncompromised. The NVR also offers intelligent search, playback, and backup functions, enhancing ease of use and security. For instance, motion detection events can be accurately searched down to a one-second granularity.

This NVR supports AI features from AI IP Cameras, although the availability of these features depends on the camera model in use. It can only support 2CH AI Cameras at 4K@30fps. It should be noted that the NVR itself does not include built-in AI features.

Connecting to and managing all the POE IP cameras on the network can be done directly through their Ethernet cables, offering ultimate ease and convenience in a home security system. The NVR has a maximum incoming bandwidth of 80Mbps and is capable of recording 8 cameras at 4K using H.264. However, by changing the default settings from H.264 to H.265 and adjusting the bit rate to 1792 on each camera, it is possible to record 8 cameras at 4K for maximum optimization.
